After graduating from Princeton, he was commissioned as an infantry officer in the Minnesota Army National Guard in 2003, serving in Guantanamo Bay, Iraq, and Afghanistan, where he earned two Bronze Stars and a Combat Infantryman’s Badge. His military service overlapped with his early professional roles, including a brief stint as an equity capital markets analyst at Bear Stearns before his first deployment.
