as a child, heeseung was stuck in hospitals to receive his chemotherapy for his cancer.

it weakness your immune system so you wouldn’t be able to go home and would need to stay at the hospital to be monitored. thankfully, he survived that.

then, came the trainee idol days at 15 years old and once again he wasn’t able to go home due to how busy he was. he admitted to have cried bc of how much he missed his parents and brother.

which is why he wrote “going home” as a track for his new mini album. to express that sadness he felt during his early idol days.

🦌: i just wanted to go home, so i cried for a long time
🦌: eventually, i pulled myself together
🦌: so i wrote this song thinking that i wanted to return home after achieving something great
👤: that's such a beautiful thing, and im sure your family loves you and is so proud of you!

heeseung growing up rarely had a proper childhood to enjoy. from illness, to jumping back to his feet to finish school, to then jumping in to become a trainee with hopes of becoming an idol. his time with his family was very limited. and now, i hope he is able to properly enjoy some time off to be with them now. heeseung was truthfully on a time crunch.

he is honestly such an inspiration and i truly admire everything he has endured.
