@yetmorebees0 @willyLpierce @AniTVOfficial @EB40988 This isn't some issue with the English dub being full of spicy verbal nuggets, either; Shenhua speaks with a heavy Chinese/Taiwanese accent in the Japanese audio as well. Her character is meant to have a particularly noticeable accent (which is funny because no one else does...)

@FailProjectGame @noctwong What's more, nobody said he was an alcoholic (or that Chris was, really), only that he drinks to cope with a VERY stressful life he feels he has little control over, and probably more often than Chris does (and if RE6 is to be believed, nearly took his own life more than once.)

@FailProjectGame @noctwong M8, we have exactly one instance of Chris on a bender, and we knew the specific context because we played through it.

Leon, similarly, has been on one onscreen bender (emphasis on "onscreen", as old lore began his story with one.) and the context is "I'm on vacation and sad."

Guy was literally powerless, and for all the power they trained him to wield, he still, as of RE4 and years beyond, owns none of it. He belongs to the state.

Sherry was just the bargaining chip that secured his cooperation, but the part that got left out in English is where he was told "We're gonna kill you if you refuse."

Leon was basically told by the U.S. Government "Either you're gonna work for us, or you're not gonna work for us, and the only thing those things have in common is your disappearance." And was turned into a human weapon whether he liked it or not.

Leon...never had a team. He has Hunnigan and the knowledge that if he's captured or killed the U.S. Government he was forced to work for (at gunpoint) will deny he exists.

@Gregoruv @Resident_bio Eh, I've always thought one of RE4's and the Remake's biggest sins was barely glossing over Leon's transition from rookie cop to Jason Bourne. His "recruitment" seems like one of the most fascinating parts of his backstory, but it gets MAYBE a line or two in RE3's epilogue.

The Moore Brotherhood is more like a faction within the Federation than simply another battalion; they're allowed a lot of autonomy, but the downside is that very same autonomy means they cannot source reinforcements from the Federal Forces proper.

@Swurv__ The problem with Starfield isn't hate, it's pure ambivalence, and a lot of what people are calling hatred is actually schadenfreude surrounding Bethesda's poor judgement.

Starfield has a lot of elements I SHOULD love, but the entire package just doesn't...work as a whole, really
