@KingThonio69@GatesOfSplendor@lanechanged "Read up" isn't a verse. Where does Scripture say Jesus spent 3 days in hell rescuing OT believers? Romans 4 says Abraham was justified by faith, Hebrews 11 says the saints died in faith, and Romans 3:25 says God passed over former sins until Christ's sacrifice.
@KingThonio69@lanechanged There is no scripture anywhere that teaches OT believers were in hell waiting for Jesus to rescue them. Scripture says Abraham was justified by faith (Rom. 4:3), and Romans 3:25 says God passed over former sins in His divine forbearance until Christ's sacrifice.
@lanechanged No, they weren't automatically sent to hell lol. They were saved the same way: by grace through faith in Christ's work on the cross. Abraham was justified by faith (Rom. 4:3), and Rom. 3:25 says God passed over former sins until Christ's sacrifice.
@apurpleshadow@BrysonGray Exactly! Just like they're no examples in all of scripture of a believer losing their salvation and/or getting it back. But we all know he won't answer because he can't.
@BrysonGray Except that it quite literally does not say that. The only thing the gospel requires of us is repentance and faith. Obedience is the fruit that it produces. Salvation is eternal unless of course you believe in a God that's able to save but too weak to keep his sheep.
@roc345_mark@DaveJohns79@OleTimeHardball Jeter was a great hitter but literally one of the absolute worst defensive SS in MLB history regardless of his occasional media driven highlights. Math isn't biased and does lie
@DaveJohns79@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Bro, this guy is a retarded Jeter glazer. There is nothing that will make him see that Jeter wasn't a good defensive SS. Just go read my entire exchange with him to get a good laugh and save your brain cells.
@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Bro, scorekeeper subjectivity has zero impact on how advanced defensive metrics are calculated. It's pure math, and errors play no part. Jeter's RF, DRS, and TZR are all low simply because he didn't make the same plays as Cal or Ozzie.
@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Holy crap you can't be this dumb! Did you even read your own pic? It literally says RF is "is calculated by dividing the total number of putouts and assists by the number of defensive games played" It's pure math and zero subjectivity.
@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Bro NO ONE on the planet says Jeter is a better defender than Cal. Only retarded Jeter homers like you ever make that claim.
@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Ah, we've finally reached the "trust my eyes over every defensive metric ever created" stage of the argument. Ozzie, Ripken, Mays, and Andruw all prove fielding percentage is flawed, but apparently Jeter is the one exception. Your commitment to being stupid is impressive.
@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Bro, you just said Mays was the best defensive CF ever and he has the lowest fielding percentage on the list. Congratulations, you've once again demonstrated exactly why fielding% is a terrible measure of defense and why you are a clueless retard
@joematrix_truth@OleTimeHardball That's not how WAR works. Cals WAR is higher because his dWAR is 34.6 vs -9.4 for Jeter. Ripken was a far superior defender than Jeter who was one of the worst.
@DaveJohns79@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball Ripken's overall WAR is higher because his 35.7 dWAR ranks among the top five all time for shortstops, while Jeter's -9.4 dWAR ranks among the bottom 15 all time. Offensively, Jeter had the edge, with a 96.4 oWAR compared to Ripken's 84.0.
@keyman_2112@roc345_mark@OleTimeHardball This moron thinks fielding % is the end all be all but these metric are somehow hocus pocus because they prove jeter was literally one of the worse defensive SS ever. He's definitely a retarded Jeter homer
