@Cripletriple3@ehenes Was he formally excommunicated prior to him breaking from the RCC or after? Also, having his mentor killed was enough for it to be justified? I’m just trying to see where you guys fit this into your system.
Redeemed Zoomer is further liberal than the Alliance for Mission and Renewal, and he’s currently in seminary, meaning he would be seeking to proselytize our congregants to his views.
The PCUSA can keep him.
The PCA is the continuing southern Presbyterian church.
NAPARC is the continuing faithful presence of the Presbyterian and Reformed churches in America.
We are the ones who did not schism from the faith once delivered. There is nowhere else I’d rather be.
@DanielBurdine Same here. To me, it would be irresponsible to subject my children to such teaching. According to RZ, this makes me a coward, apparently. 😂
@redeemed_zoomer@JonMcK1647 and they left b/c the courts wouldn’t properly govern
look, I support mainline reconquista, but you’re burning bridge with potential allies
your argument isn’t airtight b/c the questions are art, not science
show mutual forbearance so we can work together
One thing that I find interesting about RZ’s argument on schism is the apparent lack of an appeal to Scripture. As great as Rutherford is, I’ll take Scripture over him or any other theologian any day.
One more thing since the audacity is just so mind boggling.
Imagine telling J. Gresham Machen that 90 years after he was pushed out for defending orthodox Christianity, a PCUSA guy would look at the OPC—a church where elders debate 17th-century Latin theology over lukewarm decaf—and go, "Ah yes, those lawless heathens."
