Today is a big day in Africa as the @DangoteGroup commissions the world’s biggest single-train oil refinery in Nigeria.

Nigeria like many African oil producers comically has fuel shortages when it is the continent’s biggest oil producer.

Today is a big day for Africa and one which every African should be proud of because Nigeria’s success is Africa’s success.

It is a reflection of how some are now slowly getting it right on the continent.

The Dangote refinery is set to reduce the pressure of foreign currency demand by $4 billion through avoiding foreign imports of petroleum products.

Nigeria is Africa’s biggest economy and it competes with Angola for the biggest oil producing African country spot.

A single-train refinery utilizes a single integrated processing unit to perform all refining operations such as distillation, cracking and purification.

Congratulations to Nigeria and the continent, congratulations to business man Alick Dangote!
