My Hornets understanding:

They didn’t want to give LaMelo the 2 year tack on extension at $50M, far too big of an injury risk.

Kon and Miller are the duo they want to build around.

With the new flattened lottery odds favoring 4th-10th they are semi fine if they take a step back next season and they also have DAL’s 1st (top 2 protected).

The 2033 1sts those teams may stink by then, could keep or flip down the line for a star.

Naz and Allen are objectively good players.
