50,000 points is a meaningless stat, no different than 49,786 or any other arbitrary number beyond already being #1 on the all time scoring list and frankly not worth celebrating - its a number for the LebronStans out there to point too in their efforts to curry favor to Lebron or risk being cut off from his world - He's played thousands of minutes more than anyone else and played more seasons than anyone else and has taken the most shots in the history of the league if he didn't have the most points by a large margin it would be embarrassing.

Let's make an apples to apples comparison and use 40,000 minutes played since virtually all of the great players got to that number and see who had the most points scored. Lebron is 10th on that list - @StephenCurry30, @KDTrey5 and @JHarden13 all have more points with that metric and Jordan of course is #1

A great player for sure but also a stat compiler the likes of which we have never seen - major props to his longevity and ability to stay healthy and still dominate at times as a 40 year old which is astonishing but his career doesn't need any of these silly embellishments or celebrations as it cheapens his greatness. His career did however need a minimum of at least 9 bonafide Hall Of Fame teammates to get him to where he is currently at though.
