🇲🇽 U.S. FAMILY AMBUSHED IN MEXICO: 3 DEAD, TEEN IN COMA

A Chicago family was attacked in Durango, Mexico, a northern state west of Monterrey.

Vicente Peña Jr., 38, Antonio “Tony” Fernandez, 44, and a relative, Jorge Vargas Aguirre, 22, were killed.

Peña’s 14-year-old son, shot in the head, is in critical condition on life support.

The attack happened along the Francisco Zarco Highway while the family was visiting for the boy’s birthday.

Their SUV with Illinois plates was ambushed.

Officials report rising violent crime in the region.
