@martinmherlihy I work in a fairly blue collar job and you three are hilarious. I wear a stupid fedora to work on Fridays because I’ve made “Jazz Friday” a thing. I also have too much time on my hands at times so I made this
@RobertBEnglund I haven’t sent a tweet in who knows how long, but I just watched “Dear Billy” from season 4 of ST and you deserve every accolade for that performance. I’ve not been captivated like that in years.
@CamioKendra Coming from my own experience as a student doing remote learning recently, I can say that this is a very good point. I found it much more difficult to get motivated than when I was in an actual classroom. Parental support would be a big help!

Wrap Up:
Even though teaching remotely is a relatively new concept to many, it has been around for some time. It may be a good idea to look at the new requirements for classroom teaching as an opportunity to devise new and creative ways to connect with students.

@MonicaR10434321 Well, to be honest, since I'm not in my own classroom I haven't needed to give students feedback. However, when I was taking class this past spring, Dr. Nero was very quick to reach out to us and give us tips and pointers for lesson planning strategies
A3:
Teachers can connect with their students in new and innovative ways by utilizing Ed Tech. There are opportunities for rapid feedback on assignments, as well as personalized sessions where teachers can spend one-on-one time with students individually.

@CamioKendra Making things personal is a huge deal in my opinion. It gives the students a sense of ownership over their education. Also, using humor is never a bad idea (in my opinion).

@MrsNielsen1 @Flipgrid I like your idea about having students give a tour of their home. That's a great way for them to feel engaged and keep connected with their classmates.

A2:
Ed Tech has been expanding rapidly over recent years but will likely have a bit of an uptick due to the uncertainty surrounding live classroom https://t.co/tP3lpBybaj can be used to have students safely communicate with peers online and boost their creativity
#tldeuno2020
@SarahBirnbaum2 I agree. I didn't have a whole lot of experience with Google Docs until this past spring when we switched to remote learning, but it is really fascinating watching the document update while you're looking at it.
#tldeuno2020
@MrsSchroll I couldn't agree more. That has always been one of my biggest concerns with remote learning. The lack of interaction between students could have interesting repercussions in the future.

A1:
Remote learning requires instructors to create lesson plans that are easily accessible for all students. This includes making sure they have the proper technology. Care also needs to be taken to try and recreate a live classroom atmosphere.

@eduardoaw10 Hey Eduardo, I recognize your name from class. Good luck with the ACT program. It's been a good experience for me so far, and I think it's a nice deal that UNO offers a program like it.

Not currently teaching--in the ACT program at UNO
Will hopefully be teaching secondary biology beginning next fall (2021)
Remote learning was an interesting experience considering I had a practicum class. We had many great guest speakers who were great

I don’t know what will happen this fall when schools across the US should be opening, but I do know that worrying about it will not change anything. Try your best to enjoy your summer break when it comes and focus on your mental health.
@CrimeInSports Great episode this week. I didn’t get my teeth kicked in, but when I was turned away for an autograph at 7 years old (1993) Pippen did find a way to get a good jab in.
