Sidney Prescott is the most iconic character in all of horror and one of the most iconic characters in all of film and television. #Scream7 continues her legacy in the best way possible. I can’t wait for Scream 8!!!
Kevin Williamson perfectly explains the motive of Ghostface in #Scream7 —
Detailing it was in fact about a hero-centric obsession over Sidney Prescott — instead of it always being about a killer with some bloodline ties.
eu acho a motivação da Jessica aceitável e original, muito melhor que a motivação da família de psicopatas que nos foi apresentado no 6, essa sim eu não engulo até hoje.
I love SCREAM 7 and there’s only one thing that I would have changed: giving Anna Camp one more scene in the later half of the movie.
Sidney could have FT’d her after the tv interview to ask her if she’s near the Tavern. The audience needed a reminder. That’s all.
#Scream7
SCREAM 7 is an amazing movie that gets better on each viewing. I have now seen it four times in theaters, and I haven’t felt so infatuated with a new Scream movie in decades.
Haters gonna hate. Let them. More SCREAM 7 for us. It’s the best modern Scream movie by a mile.
The outrage is unwarranted and in time people will either backtrack or claim it’s like 3/4 and got better with age. The substance, character work, and filmmaking by Kevin Williamson is too strong and will stand the test of time. As a Sidney Prescott and Gale Weathers fan, I can’t believe this movie exists for them in 2026.
I love the boldness of SCREAM 7 to roast the culture around Screams 5-6-7; it’s like Scream 3 commenting on the filmmaking of 2-3. It’s not simply one or two jabs about MB but rather sustained jokes about the last few years.
I also don’t understand the criticism about the nostalgia. Besides the montage before the finale and the beginning at the Macher house, there is nothing that’s too flagrantly composed in fan service. Screams 5 & 6 literally copied the structure, settings, and killers of 1-2 and contained endless cheap easter eggs over and over. 7 does not do that. It’s an uninformed lazy critique.

SCREAM 7 is the restoration the franchise deserved. I loved it. The movie delivered on my high expectations. I am so, so happy. It’s the best slasher in decades, in particular better than 5&6, IKWYDLS, Heart Eyes, etc.
It accomplished the perfect balance of focusing on Sidney, making Gale important, introducing Sidney’s family, and balancing the new cast.
Sidney was perfection. Gale Weathers was restored to the Gale Of Scream 4, and it makes me so incredibly happy. Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox deliver some of their finest performances as these characters.
The birth of Tatum as a new final girl was wonderful and Isabel May is a star. Also, Scream 7 made me a fan of Chad and Mindy in a way I never was before. Especially Mindy — I never could’ve imagined she’d be this great.
Kevin Williamson’s approach is different than that of Wes Craven and Radio Silence; it’s lean and concise at every turn. The depth and details are there, just presented in a condensed way. The pacing felt like that of a director who had made dozens of films.
As for the finale — I am swimming against the current because I loved it, and the identity of the killer, a performance worthy of a Ghostface killer. I also thought the themes of nostalgia, AI, and the “fan service” were presented well.
The epilogue was beautiful and felt tailor made for me. Kevin handled the suspense tremendously and the aesthetics of the film were inspired.
30 years later, the nightmare isn’t over. 🫢
