🇬🇭 WATCH: Ghana Navy’s AB2 Sarah Precious Akutor has done the extraordinary. She conquered a 3.1 kilometre open sea swim in just 61 minutes — not for competition, but to raise funds for children with special needs.
Speaking to Channel One News’ Western Bureau Chief Akwasi Agyei Annim, she said this challenge marks the beginning of her mission to build a dedicated support centre for children of Naval personnel with special needs. She is calling on the public to join the cause and help turn this bold dream into reality.

Female naval officer, AB2 Akutor Sarah has successfully completed a 3.1-kilometre swim in support of a fundraising initiative by the Chief of Defence Staff to build a school for special needs children of service personnel in the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
AB2 Akutor Sarah undertook the swim on Friday, November 21, 2025, starting from Busua Beach and ending at Abokwa Island in the Western Region.
Through this feat, she also aimed to inspire women to embrace swimming and highlight their endurance and resilience.
