Spent International Women's Day watching one of the most inspirational women in the world. My personal idol. Ms @annecurtissmith. Her emotions felt raw and cut throat. Such a solid performance. Sending love from Australia! ❤️ #TheLovedOne#thelovedonemovie
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Kristopher Elliot AKA Maxi Shield. A part of our Down Under legacy, her electrifying presence on and off the stage will inspire us forever, and our deepest condolences go out to her friends and family.
RIP, we love you Maxi. 💔
Hi Agnes, unfortunately mr. Polito_loco has blocked me.
I'll leave you with this. My point is: Both the Black community and the Disabled community were harmed in this situation. More people should have sympathy for both.
BAFTAs failed their duty of care.
That's it. Goodnight.
@JoaannaRose@Polito_loco I really don't know what point you're trying to make. All were warned a Tourettes, sufferer was in the audience and an apology has been made more than once to them & anyone else who felt offended. What else do you think should now happen 🤔?
@tihanygirl But again the apology doesn't erase the harm that's been done. But if all parties were all addressed to in an appropriate manner, we can hopefully learn and move on from this issue.
@tihanygirl John absolutely needs an apology too. He should not have been subjected to such humiliation.
The Baftas need to apologise to John for their lack of care and public figures who have made abelist remarks should also be held accountable.
@tihanygirl Agnes, YOU have shown absolutely no empathy or remorse for the other parties involved. While I admire your strong dedication to the cause, you've shown that racism is just an "overraction". A general apology doesn't simply erase the harm.
@tihanygirl In what what have I not shown empathy towards John or said that he is soley to blame in this situation? I understand his condition. I champion his courage and his story.
But. Both things can be true. Both parties can be hurt. Both deserve apologies.
@tihanygirl@Polito_loco By the way, Shay (the person's video you have used) has come out with a statement of my exact point. BOTH parties should have sympathy!!! Not one over the other.
Sad that more people can't see that.
@tihanygirl@Polito_loco You preach kindness and compassion but you haven't really shown that towards the Black community. Telling them to grow "thicker skin"? Would you tell that to someone who has a disability? Both sides deserve sympathy here. If you don't understand that, then maybe YOU should learn.
@tihanygirl@Polito_loco Agnes, I know what tourettes is. I'm not trying to make it a competition of who is the bigger victim here. BOTH parties have been harmed here. I understand that the intent was not malicious BUT you have to understand why people are upset by that word being used.
@WhirlingDe73635@Polito_loco Yes a white man. Although involuntary. It still came from a white man. That's why Black people are so upset. While I don't condone people calling him racist or using abelist ideology, they have a valid reason to be upset because of that word.
@consens_tradein@Polito_loco This isn't a competition of who has recieved the most sympathy. My main point is that both parties are victims here. There are still harm being made towards BOTH parties. People are still being racist AND abelist. All that harm because Baftas did not do their duty of care.
