Returning null means the state machine 'ignores' the input and doesn't change its state, which is legit in many case. It's different than an exception which means something's wrong and must be fixed. So both are supported.

@the_xhtmlboy @kotlin @memobank Thanks for reading. `Transition?` means "A transition or null". And "pure function" doesn't mean anything in Kotlin in particular, the fact it's a pure function is an internal convention we encourage to maintain all the properties of the framework. (1/2)
