Venezuelan artist Danny Ocean performs "Alma Llanera" during the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize award ceremony in Oslo City Hall.

The beloved Venezuelan song "Alma Llanera" ("Soul of the Plains") was created over a hundred years ago by Venezuelan musicians Pedro Elías Gutiérrez (composer) and Rafael Bolívar Coronado (lyricist) and is considered the country's unofficial second national anthem.

The 2025 Nobel Peace Prize is awarded to Maria Corina Machado “for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy”
