When I was entrusted with coordinating the CLV Network at @FIDA_Uganda, I hoped to see passionate advocates emerge and lead community change.
Today, I am honoured to watch them champion important conversations and drive advocacy in their communities.

This Heroes Day, we celebrate the women who walk through our doors seeking justice, protection, dignity, and a fair chance at life. ๐
The woman fighting for custody of her children. The widow defending her inheritance rights. The survivor finding the courage to speak up. The entrepreneur determined to provide for her family despite every obstacle. These women are not just the reason we do our work, they are the reason we believe change is possible.โจ

Following our consultations on the @_AfricanUnion Convention on Ending Violence Against Women and Girls (AU-CEVAWG), a consolidated civil society report is now ready. ๐
The report captures findings and recommendations from a two-stage engagement process: a national virtual consultation convened in Uganda by @WomenProbono, @amwaafrika, @Uganetlaw, @CEDOVIPuganda, and FIDA-Uganda; and a regional breakout session held under @GimacNetwork.
Building on the voices and perspectives shared during these engagements, the report contributes to ongoing regional advocacy efforts aimed at strengthening protections, accountability, and coordinated action to end violence against women and girls across Africa.
