Bridgewater Police say Sgt. Matthew Bennett was the officer stabbed in the neck. Bennett, a 13 year veteran with the Bridgewater Police Service, underwent successful surgery yesterday. He is currently recovering in hospital
The search for Tobias Charles Doucette continues. He has been charged with attempted murder and assault after stabbing a Bridgewater Police officer and assaulting a woman at a local hotel. He also stabbed a Police Service Dog. Doucette has been on the run since Monday night

A meeting between Indigenous leaders and the N.B. government has begun in Fredericton.
This is the second meeting - Chiefs are asking for an independent, Indigenous-led inquiry into systemic bias within the province's justice and policing systems.
