@Joeinblack Married 33 years ago and we got nothing! The only thing we had to do is get the sacrament certificate from my parish I was baptized in & go to a 6 hour premarriage day that we cut 2 hours short because it was worthless. Our parish priest signed off & said we’d be fine.

“Take courage; stand up, Jesus is calling you.”

This is one of my favorite lines in the gospel of Mark.
A blind man was calling to Jesus for help, and the crowd kept shutting him down.
Somehow, through it all, Jesus hears the blind man and asks for him.
The crowd immediately changes.
They go from trying to shut him up to cheering him on:
“Take courage; stand up, Jesus is calling you.”
No matter what our circumstances or situations, Jesus is calling us to stand and to be brave.
Because he is calling us we have more than we could ever ask or imagine to accomplish whatever he’s calling us to.
I pray that today, each of us hear the voice of God telling us to take courage and to stand;
He is calling.
