In ‘22 I fell back in love with USC football.

In ‘23 each loss hurt more than the next.

In ‘24 I learned to expect it.

In ‘25 we saw the end in sight.

This year each loss hurts less than the next. It’s like a lifted weight because we all know where this is going to end.

This game only sealed that door. It’s not a matter of if, only when. As sad as that makes me, what makes me more sad is not enjoying USC football. These last few years have felt more like a chore than fun.

The path ahead is going to be really tough but after tonight I think it’s time we walk that road.
