Can you show me in the Bible what list of books belong in the Bible? You can’t because it isn’t in there.
History shows where that list came from. The Catholic Church. Rome-382. Hippo 393. Carthage 397. It was repeated in 419 as well as a hundred years before luthifer on no authority removed books he didn’t like.

Before you start hyperventilating about Rome inventing the list at the Council of Trent it did not. It simply restated what it always taught except with the highest level of Authority. It had to reiterate the Canon because previously in history virtually nobody challenged the 73 book Canon.

So the incoherent claim of Protestantism is this. The same Church that they admit got the New Testament correct apparently got the Old Testament wrong.
Who decided THAT and on what logical basis?

@BishopJaxi A common argument from protestants don’t listen to the church fathers because they weren’t inspired. Then they turned around and listen to their pastor every Sunday tell them what the Bible means by what it says 20 centuries after the fact, I might add make it make sense.
