@ChristandGuitar@iamAtheistGirl Glimpses of something they profoundly miss grows resentment in the deepest parts of their hearts; we must show them that he is there waiting with open arms, regardless of our persecution. This is the price of salvation, to carry out our cross.
@TAMcMurphy@BasedInMeme@iamAtheistGirl Basing a multi-complex system on anecdotal stories is why it doesn’t make sense to you. That’s not researching.
That’s just point of view.
1. The order in which things were created is not wrong
2. The flood could have been a parable
3. Regarding being pattern finding mammals, this is true, Jesus came not to abolish the law but to fulfill it
4. The New Testament is full of verses written by one omniscient God
5. Those ancient desert dwellers were hot and thirsty yet the consensus is more than stable
Give me one contradiction in the Bible.
Mormons believe in the Book of Mormon as a testament of Jesus Christ.
They read the Bible as well not just as a reference to their missions but as truth, equal to the Book of Mormon.
With this in mind Jesus states that his two greatest commandments are to love God with all your heart, mind and soul
And to love your neighbor as yourself.
Those to who promised to love God with all their heart, mind and soul have no intentions in adding words onto the testimony of Jesus Christ himself. They hold his words to be true, with reverence.
The Bible explicitly states if anyone adds words to what’s already been written, the plagues mentioned will be added unto them.
It’s in Revelation, the last chapter/book in the Bible.
@toby02146568 “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”
1 Timothy 6:10
This tends to make people forget that idolatry can be in all forms and not just money.
Money itself is not evil but the Bible explicitly states, “it is easier for a camel to enter through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God”
Also tithe is another word for tenth, where God explains donating a tenth of your income to fold it into 1000%
Where we provide a little, he gives back in abundance
@JessevsBabylon People do the same thing in science class, in one ear and out the other, you can read every book on Earth and you can still understand nothing
Why is that
Cosmology and biology can prove Genesis is true, especially because Adam and Eve weren’t the first humans
Archeology proves exodus and the flood were true
Psychology explains how “religious” ideas do propagate and dwell in mind but disrespect the fact that religion is man-made and Gods structural integrity is not of this world.
Physics explains the beginning of creation and the limits it requires within itself
So to be honest rather than saying science disproves God, it’s more natural and mature to confess that science can also prove Gods nature and even the things prophesied.
And that it’s merely perspective
To be fair psychology alone is a hard subject to learn, failure to align two highly complex systems is a tremendously easy possibility
most famous researchers tend to be non-believers and say that it’s more they learn about life that proves God more overall
@Da_ry_guy22@s_aconite Of course it doesn’t, Natural is not Supernatural, and Ordinary is not Divine
Science despite how intellectually accurate it is, tends to be a little behind
@ShowMeSlayer@Servant588@darwintojesus The moment humans stop confusing man-made religion with the deity of God, his creation will already or precisely at that time have begun a new creation. As apart of his plan.
