Today, I hosted the leadership of Shabana FC at the Ministry’s Jogoo House B offices.
The delegation, led by Club Chairperson Jared Nevaton Ombongi, briefed me on the club’s ongoing projects and strategic plans aimed at strengthening its competitiveness and long-term sustainability.
Clubs such as Shabana FC play a vital role in nurturing and exposing talented Kenyan youth to opportunities in professional, talent-driven careers. With the rollout of Competency-Based Education (CBE), which introduces Arts and Sports Science as a pathway at Senior School level, there is a growing need to strengthen linkages between academic institutions, sports clubs, and other stakeholders within the sports industry to create structured and sustainable talent development pathways.
May I take this opportunity to most sincerely thank H.E. President William Ruto for reassigning me to new diplomatic responsibilities in Brussels, Belgium, and the European Union. I pledge to execute this new assignment faithfully and diligently.
