Ang takot lang kay Ms. Cielo, Ms. Heidi, Hon. Leila, at Hon.
Akbayan Party-list Rep. Percival Cendaña on Thursday warned that China’s alleged consideration of retaliatory measures against the Philippines could further escalate tensions between the two countries, following a report that Beijing was weighing sanctions and possible cuts in oil and fertilizer supplies.
“It is very disappointing that the Chinese government would contemplate an inordinately harsh response to Filipinos' calls for accountability from a Chinese diplomatic official,” Cendaña says.
“We should also take note that these kinds of utterances not only escalate tensions between our two countries but also embolden cynical political actors in the Philippines who are willing to undermine our sovereignty to gain political power,” he added.

Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro Jr. slammed Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan on Thursday, accusing him of deliberately provoking Philippine authorities, gaslighting the public, and crossing diplomatic lines.
Together with our fellow lawmakers in the House of Representatives, we filed House Resolution No. 1562 urging President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to declare Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan persona non grata or request his recall by the Chinese government.
We Filipinos are hospitable people. We want peace, not war.

You are now on the list” remark ng embahada kaugnay ng panawagan ng ilang House legislators kay Pres.

‘SEND THIS POOR VERSION OF A FOREIGN GUEST, THIS HOOLIGAN BACK HOME’
Sen. Kiko Pangilinan has urged President Bongbong Marcos to send Chinese Ambassador Jing Quan back to China following the envoy’s latest warning against testing Beijing’s patience.
In a Facebook post, Pangilinan called Jing “arrogant, insulting, crude and insolent.”
