Hello, my name is Jason Jobb. I am a behavioral/instructional coach for a special education cooperative. Previously, I was a multi-needs teacher for ten years.
#ISTEStandards "1c: Students use technology...to demonstrate their learning in a variety of ways." Using this during one of my student referrals assisting a transition between programs. Not only a good instructional strategy, but behavioral support as well! #tch401
For students that use iPads as an AAC device. This could be an amazing tool to pair on the device. I know a few of my previous students would love this and make great use of it! #tch401#digitalequity#corkulous
Love #feedforward concept of expanding possibilities! "Participants can’t point out a problem without proposing an alternative, saying “What if?” to a problem." Such a smart way to focus on the positive and use a growth mindset. #tch401
Being a professional learner doesn't need to be overwhelming when using new technologies. Start with a learning or teaching goal, then focus on one new technology and play around with it. Focusing on the goal can help ground you. #tch401#401reflection
Curated my first wakelet collections! Lots of resources out there for instructional coaching. Check it out for instructional playbooks and digital equity for students with disabilities https://t.co/TSq1YN5GeN #tch401#instructionalcoaching
Love this rubric to go along with student choice boards. Students can then progress monitor their own work with a rubric that has clear language and expectations. #tch401#teacherasanalyst
@makeitfable I love this! In one of my other classes, the topic of video games for students with disabilities was a big hit. For students that have accessibility concerns, this is such a cool way for them to get connected and engage with their buddies on XBox #tch401
We believe that everyone needs the ability to be involved in every part of the digital world, including gaming. In fact, we’ll have an article on accessible gaming coming out shortly. But until then: https://t.co/Vybk6mno7s #a11y#gaming#accessibility
#radicalcollaboration has been a great way for educators to connect during remote learning. I've been working with amazing instructional coaches and teachers collaborating on new PD topics. Question : how much will you continue remote collaboration while going in-person? #tch401
@KayleighHelent1 I was just reflecting on that as well! I am almost strictly on Facebook, if at all, and always think about who will see this and how will I hold myself accountable for what I share.
Just finished my blog post about #digitalcitizenship for #tch401. Thinking of having my daughter do this activity so she can start thinking about her online persona. So important for pre-teenagers to start thinking about this BEFORE getting into the social media world.
Being a #connectededucator means providing students in community-based instruction (CBI) real-life experiences throughout their community to enhance their exposure to current events and opens the door for service project ideas that will benefit them and their community. #tch401
