This is 12 yr old Oliver, a cherished member of Rockbeare Rockets FC. He is going blind and has been told he will have no eyesight at all in 6 months as he has been diagnosed with hereditary optic neuropathy and has lost most of his vision in a very short time. He now has no light perception in his left eye and only a small amount of usable vision in his right, with doctors fearing he may lose all sight in the coming months.

Although Oliver can no longer play matches, he remains a vital part of the team. He continues to attend and support his teammates and has proudly taken on the role of our “Number Two Coach,” showing incredible strength and positivity.

As a club, we are raising funds to support Oliver and his family, helping them create precious memories, enjoy a special holiday, and ease financial pressures during this difficult time.
