This is 12 yr old Oliver, a cherished member of Rockbeare Rockets FC. He is going blind and has been told he will have no eyesight at all in 6 months as he has been diagnosed with hereditary optic neuropathy and has lost most of his vision in a very short time. He now has no light perception in his left eye and only a small amount of usable vision in his right, with doctors fearing he may lose all sight in the coming months.
Although Oliver can no longer play matches, he remains a vital part of the team. He continues to attend and support his teammates and has proudly taken on the role of our “Number Two Coach,” showing incredible strength and positivity.
As a club, we are raising funds to support Oliver and his family, helping them create precious memories, enjoy a special holiday, and ease financial pressures during this difficult time. Every donation will go directly to Oliver and his family, and even sharing this post can make a real difference. (👉 Go Fund me link in COMMENTS)
Information reaching me about 3 hours ago is that my husband has arrived Sokoto prison.
Those who went to see him today did not give me any update on his transfer.
Rather, they ran to social media to broadcast it.
If you all do not sit up and behave in a civilised and professional manner, I will stress you with my 'stress' and I promise you, you will be stressed.
Enough of your theatrics!
Be warned!
It’s simple:
He’s too dangerous for the average woman to handle,
and too smart to settle for the ones who can’t.
Because once a man builds himself into a fortress
he stops entertaining tourists.
He's seen behind the makeup,
behind the sweet talk,
behind the games masked as independence.
He knows most want the castle,
but few can survive the war it took to build it.
So he waits.
Not out of desperation.
But discipline.
Because when a man has options
he doesn’t chase chaos wrapped in curves.
He waits for the rare one who brings peace to a storm he mastered alone.
Until then?
He’s single by choice.
Not by shortage.
And that terrifies the mediocre.
