🇺🇸🇮🇷 The U.S. is running low on the interceptors holding Iran's missiles back.

Weeks into Operation Epic Fury, the numbers are thin. Patriot stocks are under 1,000 and THAAD is down to about 250. The shield is holding, but every save draws from a pile that keeps shrinking.

There's no cheap backup for Patriot and THAAD, and the Navy ships that could help are usually too far away. Commanders may soon have to gamble on which missiles are worth an interceptor.

And it reaches past Iran. Every interceptor spent now is one not saved for a possible fight with China, which is why the administration wants $95 billion in munitions for 2027 plus $21 billion in war funding.
