Just one of the many reasons I’m so upset today. As someone who has had an ectopic pregnancy, this is very real. I will never forget that time and how scary it was. I can’t even imagine going through that now and being in a state where suddenly the treatment you need is illegal.
Dissenting were Justices Stephen Breyer, appointed by President Clinton, and Justices Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, appointed by President Obama.
Here's what they wrote.
Good morning to everyone just finding out they don't really care about "protecting women & girls"
Welcome, please join us in this fight we've been fighting...
Grateful for the trailblazers who took those 37 words and ran with them… all so we could fly.
Title IX has given so many women, myself included, the opportunity to compete. That fighting spirit continues.
Onward and upward. #TitleIX
This, from Megan Rapinoe, reads as a very decent summation of the correct answer to any “trans person in sports” debate, and also, a pristine example of what personal politics look like when you operate with the value of compassion first.
As someone who has been involved w college athletics for close to 20 years, can confirm. NEVER heard of this happening and it should shake all of us to our core. This is blatant racial profiling and there should be outrage of the entire collegiate athletic community
OUTRAGED. I have NEVER EVER in my career working in college athletics even HEARD of a team bus being searched. WHY IS THIS NOT ALL OVER THE NEWS?! @Sifill_LDF @NAACP_LDF@HBCUGameday@NCAA@NCAALAX@EDACNATA@onewhowontjoin https://t.co/EweHremzrM
Just so we're clear: the pregnancy that ends up in the wrong spot, like the fallopian tube? The one that will NEVER turn into a baby and will rupture and kill your wife, daughter, or sister? Terminating that fetus is also an abortion, and they want to ban those, too.
I’ve gotten a lot of questions.
The STUDENT-athletes that stayed in school (which they PAID for btw)…will NOT get back the year they lost due to Covid.
Their non-Ivy peers all played AND got the year back.
The Ivy group and the NCAA missed this one BAD. And their SAs lose.
It’s official. The @NCAA decided NOT to give back the Ivy athletes the year that the league canceled sports. Despite the fact that the decision was made AFTER the SA’s PAID for their semester. I’m speechless and sad for all my fellow Ivy Leaguers 💔💔💔
One of the best athletes in American sports was arrested in a dangerous and volatile country that has suddenly become a pariah on the world stage. Why has the reaction been so muted? @williamfleitch writes https://t.co/GcSSbVnp9K
@CoachBanghart Not sure I deserve all those nice words but I am VERY excited at this amazing opportunity. I'm sure you're excited to not be the shortest again haha
