"There is nothing holy about rejecting medical care of people. There is nothing holy about turning someone away from a hospital. There's nothing holy about rejecting a child from a family. There's nothing holy about writing discrimination into the law."

I actively participate in the shooting club at my college, regularly practicing with shotguns and handguns on weekends. In doing so, I've gained valuable knowledge about gun safety and responsible ownership.
The current issues America faces stem from our inability to maintain domestic tranquility by striking a balance between rights and responsibilities.
A mob doesn't equate to a militia. It's crucial for the majority of gun owners, who practice responsible ownership and advocate for stronger regulations, to raise their voices. The vocal, tyrannical minority of gun extremists has misrepresented all gun owners for far too long. This doesn't reflect a society that upholds and encourages responsibility. We have to do better to make sure guns don’t get into the wrong hands and we also have to address why someone wants to kill others in the first place too.
Not to sound like a radical leftist who wants to destroy America, but I would rather our tax dollars pay for universal healthcare and helping unemployed people survive during a pandemic, instead of paying the salaries of jack-booted thugs to gas us and beat the shit out of us.
