@meecob @EmmyGisa3 I am literally looking at a Vulcraft decking book as we speak. Typical fastening on 36" cover is a 36/4 pattern in the low hats to avoid crushing the high hat. That is why they make HWH TEK5 screws because they have a gasket. Just because someone did it doesnt mean its right.

@waffen194576700 @EmmyGisa3 The even bigger problem would be how would you do this if you had to lap 2 pieces of deck with these. It would take 2 people. 1 holding the spacer below and hopeing the guy above driving the screw through hits the spacer and not your hand and another above driving the screw.
