@hudy_23 I can acknowledge this and do. The problem is that acknowledging this does not fix the addiction.
All of my spiritual insight has only made me more aware of just how much of a prison insight can be and how much I lack the thing everyone else seems to be able to touch.
@4sakenShadow @hudy_23 I understand what this means but I fail to see how it's.. relevant? (I dont know that that is the right word). Like yes, this is true and I can recognize that, but how do I go from here (where life is miserable) to there (where it is not)?
@hudy_23 @4sakenShadow I don't think so but I don't know anymore. The addiction is still here. It's still ruining my life. I don't know whether my acknowlegement of that fact is the problem or the solution.
@hudy_23 @4sakenShadow More and more I am starting to lean this way. It's all so confusing and tiresome. Is it up to me or is it not? "Fail and fail until something (maybe) pulls you out" is not exactly an easy pill to swallow but it seems to be the only one. All advice seems to contradict other advice
@4sakenShadow @hudy_23 My cynic side is showing here but has doing this ever actually brought someone out of an addiction, not just a bad habit, but a true addiction to something absolutely destructive? It sounds good and one can agree on the other side, but how much is this worth to the true addict?
@Nore_MCC It's just the sample for me man. Like, Nas rapping non-stop over the sinister part for 3 minutes would be peak but this sample... It's just so weird and misplaced in the context. Cool idea on paper I guess, but horrible execution
@ItsJustinRhodes Your homesteading content is obviously awesome, but these little moments of real human vulnerability pertaining to your role as a man and a father are worth more than their weight in gold for me. My favorite type of content.
@ItsJustinRhodes Words are too limiting. Every understanding/interpretation would be a misunderstanding/misinterpretation of something else you were supposed to get. The devil is in the details.
@4sakenShadow Yeah I think naked consciousness itself is a priori. Descartes' "I think, therefore I am" is flawed. Human logic can't start from zero. There has to be a bedrock, indivisible, irreducible grounding on which logical thought and observational data sits.
@4sakenShadow Well, two things come to mind for me.
1. There is no "how" that the mind can understand. You simply are and you simply know you are beyond reason.
2. Alive in the sense of "experiencing life to a desirable capacity" - when the question no longer comes up.
