Never has my desire to eat a granola bar ever been higher than in the 2 hours after getting fluoride at the dentist during which I am not supposed to consume anything "too crunchy."
It was ๐ฅถ and windy, but still a great time today learning about some of the great environmental resilience work happening right down the street from my home and office
Thu-Sat: attend S-STEM Scholars meeting; leave feeling impressed & inspired by great things students are doing
Mon, 9 am: manuscript trying to share stories of some of these very students' experiences with the world: rejected without review
Oh academia, you & your cruel irony
"Truly it is a blessed thing to love on earth as we hope to love in Heaven and to begin that friendship here which is to endure forever there." -St. Francis de Sales V+J
Proud to have been a part of the team who brought this home to ODU and excited for the great work we'll be able to do over the next few years! https://t.co/X8XftRqOHd
Did I completely forget to grab an "author" ribbon at registration? Yes. Did I immediately jump at the opportunity to get a ribbon that matches the name of possibly my favorite Screeching Weasel album? Also yes.
#ASEE2023
Accidentally went to an improv session led by @SamuelJTanner1 at #AERA2023 and it was easily the most fun I've had in 10+ years of attending academic conferences.
Feels weird but I have slides ready and handouts printed for @AERA_EdResearch a week & a half before my 1st presentation. Guess this is the upside of going straight from spring break to conference and NOT wanting to work on this during said break.
Any and all doing work in the evaluation space, please consider submitting a proposal - the conference will be virtual, so we welcome presenters from all over!
