Roma are attempting to lure Diego Llorente back to Serie A on a second loan deal after refusing to pay the €18m buy clause in his first loan deal.

The Italians want Llorente back again on a temporary basis with another permanent clause for the end of the 2023/24 which is lower than €18m.

It isn’t mentioned in the report (surprisingly) but Italian clubs are renowned for inserting buy clauses in contracts and not paying, which is the case with Llorente’s initial loan deal.
