This Thursday, June 11, 2026, the bishops of the United States will consecrate our nation to the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus during a special Mass in Orlando, Florida.

This consecration is part of the nation's observance of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence, which was signed on July 4, 1776. It also takes place just one day before the Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus on June 12.

At a time when many people are searching for hope, truth, and purpose, this act reminds us where lasting peace is found. A national consecration does not replace personal conversion, but it is a public act of trust that asks Christ to guide, bless, and renew our country.

But this shouldn't stop with the bishops.

Let us place our hearts, our families, our work, and our nation under the lordship of Jesus Christ and entrust them to His Sacred Heart.

The Sacred Heart is not just a devotion from the past. It is a reminder of Christ's love for every person and His call to repentance, faith, and holiness. Every renewal in society begins with individual souls turning back to God.

The more our world drifts from Christ, the more we need His mercy.

A bad priest is not an excuse.

None of these are reasons to walk away from the Church Christ Himself established.
