When they are on a good run of form...
As a player you cant ask for loyalty when you have no intrest in showing it yourself if a move comes about.. both players and clubs need to be more transparent with each other instead of hiding behind agents there both as bas as each other
Issue i habe with with statements like this especially with the statement
"Players are treated like meat"
Its a catch 22 in football. They want loyalty from the club when they are injured and down on form but are the first to jump ship and leave the club high n dry 1/2
Jarrod Bowen is 'absolutely devastated' following one of the worst weeks of his life, which has 'hit him hard', according to @heatworld.
'It’s been one of the worst weeks of Dani and Jarrod’s lives (Jarrod missing out on World Cup squad/West Ham relegated),’ says a source. ‘Dani is doing her best to try to make things better, but he’s absolutely devastated. She’s never seen him like this.'
The current situation has caused tensions, with the pair at loggerheads over their future.
'Jarrod will be 30 this year, and this was probably his last chance to go to a World Cup. Although he does want to stay at West Ham, he doesn’t know what the future holds,' says the source.
'The whole Dyer family want Jarrod to stay, so he’s feeling the pressure – but he needs to do what’s best for him. He’s been linked to Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle, which would mean a move up north – something Dani isn’t very keen on. Danny will be devastated if he leaves West Ham, too, and a move up north would really twist the knife.'
The source continues, 'Dani isn’t like a lot of footballers' wives. She has her own commitments, and can’t just pack up and follow him, but she doesn’t want to live apart from him with the kids.'
'If Dani does Strictly, she’d ideally need to be close to London – and will want Jarrod nearby to help out,’ we’re told. ‘But playing in the Premier League means a better salary and a better career.’
The source adds, ‘It’s one of the biggest tests in their marriage so far.'
You just ordered a pepperoni pizza and a 2-liter of coke.
You put WWE SmackDown on TV.
There’s no school tomorrow, your parents don't care if you stay up late..
It's a perfect night, you're 30 years old, the year is 2026
Steven Bartlett says a few glasses of wine ruined the next 3 days of his life
“It's one of those areas where you don't understand the hidden cost until you really give it up for a while. I stopped drinking at 30 years old. I'm now 33. When I was 31, I thought, I'll have a drink again because now I could really A/B test it. I had a year of not drinking, decided to have a drink again”
“It ruined three days of my life. I had a couple of glasses of wine, didn't get drunk. It ruined three days of my life because of the domino effect it caused”
“I got worse sleep that night, and then because I got worse sleep that night, I ate more poorly the next day because my dopamine system or whatever, the cortisol system was all messed up. I podcasted worse. I didn't go to the gym that day or the day after because I felt really bad. I then slept worse, and I could track all of this on my Whoop”
Every manager shit like this comes out... whats the common denominator... the players are toxic man im not saying the managers not to blame but its always something with this group of players man
Some very damning pieces from the Athletic article on our relegation
- Nuno was the highest paid manager in our history
- Nuno didn’t trust the coaches he had to work with but still delegated most of his responsibilities to them
- Nuno fell out with Todibo, Wilson, Ward Prowse, his coaches and more
- Nuno was advised not to sign Pablo but still went ahead
- Players preferred Potter’s pre-match preparation
- Nuno didn’t talk to players during HT and after matches
Strangely enough, I don’t feel too nervous today.
If we pull off a miracle, then great, but I’ve already accepted relegation in my head.
I’d be more nervous if we were the team in 17th weirdly enough.
