Check out the Park's newest visitor — a beaver! 🦫 Recently seen swimming around Gansevoort Peninsula, this beaver marks the first recorded sighting in our 400-acre Estuarine Sanctuary! Though a rare sight in NYC, beavers are native to our local waterways.

@colbypitt@tomhaberstroh@KevinOConnor Did you feel, after reading the article, that falling was a good enough measure to capture the problem fans are having with SGA?
@colbypitt@tomhaberstroh@KevinOConnor Sure, when I read this “I made no judgment about whether a foul call was justified or not. Nor did I weigh in whether it was a flop or not. Those are subjective opinions.”
It prompted my question. It’s not clear to me that focusing on falls, albeit objective, answers the root Q
@Jason_Edrei@tomhaberstroh@KevinOConnor I hear you there but then I don’t think the analysis answers the real question which is “is SGA flopping on his shots more than other stars”. Using falls is an ok proxy but an incomplete one. I don’t have a dog in the SGA flopping race but am curious so I asked
@NickTuths@NetsDaily@jc5BazIn I don’t think you or I are being objective. We are biased but what we believe to be a good GM.
That’s what makes our back and forth interesting, at least to me!
@NickTuths@NetsDaily@jc5BazIn Yeah. I think holistic view is important. He’s drafted (Allen, Claxton), signed (Durant/Irving), and traded (Harden, Bridges). We’re bad now but the process is sound. Maybe you don’t like trying to win a chip from 20-22, or getting 5 firsts for bridges instead of going all in?
@NickTuths@NetsDaily@jc5BazIn Yeah I guess when you exclude his good picks his draft success doesn’t look as good. Essentially none of those picks were in the lottery, not impossible but much more challenging to find foundational players. I think Egor and this pick are more fair to judge his drafting
@NickTuths@NetsDaily@jc5BazIn They had the #1 offense in the league. Had both players not been injured we win a chip. You’re mad they didn’t build around D’Angelo Russell and Caris Levert ? I loved those guys also, but the sustained success you’re pitching is a ceiling of a first round exit.
@NickTuths@NetsDaily@jc5BazIn I agree his coaching choices have generally been poor. Definitely disagree that Cam Thomas is his best draft pick. It’s obviously Jarrett Allen
@NickTuths@NetsDaily Agree to disagree on moving goal posts… but crucially with the information we had at the time, the harden/irving/durant decisions were absolutely correct. It didn’t work out but I totally agree with @jc5BazIn. You make that trade every time
@NickTuths@NetsDaily Winning 1 nba championship is a massive achievement. Saying he didn’t build a roster that was a lock to win multiple championships and that’s why he’s bad is moving the goal posts IMO.
Christopher Nolan explains why he cast Travis Scott in ‘THE ODYSSEY’:
“I cast him because I wanted to nod towards the idea that this story has been handed down as oral poetry, which is analogous to rap.”
