Just finished reading “The Wages of Sin” by Harry Turtledove. Excellent book, great characters, compelling story, thought provoking. Deserves his name in gold leaf on the spine. If HIV started in the 1400s, how would society have changed? @HNTurtledove
@tomtomorrow The twenty meter band (14MHz) has been open to most of North America and the world most of the days and late into the nights lately. If you wanted to get some news out. Just saying.
@shawnp0wers Good luck and smooth sailing! I try to go to various Linux distributions now and then but keep coming back to Mac and Windows. Some day, though, it’ll stick.
@RudyCerda I copied off the BASIC Horserace game from the GE Timesharing system onto paper tape with the campus teletypewriter. I added nulls on both ends in case of rips.
Unfortunately @Twitter algorithms and trolls have killed @HNTurtledove ‘s account. For those asking #WheresHarryT please make some noise for @TwitterSafety to reconsider reactivating his Twitter, which had nearly 20k followers
@HNTdove That’s a lot of beer. If you had a friend with the right equipment could you distill it down and get some decent whiskey? Or would it still taste like swill? Questions to ponder.
@Stonekettle “Business owner in a MAGA hate…” I read it four times trying to figure if it was supposed to be “hat.” My opinion: it works just fine either way. Good writing.
