Excited to launch a new sports agency today called Recruit Advisor. We’ll help high school athletes navigate the communications and compliance challenges of earning a college scholarship. Check us out >> https://t.co/BXgKnuNbNh
Our founder, Lamar Hunt, made the bold decision to relocate his franchise to Kansas City's Municipal Stadium on this day in 1963, reshaping the landscape of professional sports throughout our region and beyond.
The issue that the Big Ten coaches are most animated about at Big Ten meetings? The new/complicated punting rule (below), as the Big Ten coaches are 18-0 against it. Iowa’s Kirk Ferentz, a longtime punt advocate, was among the many animated coaches. “There’s no compelling reason to change it. It was already perfectly fine.”
@RGreggKeller@JoeNicola It was a great bill unless you like small businesses or innovation. Completely shocked it made it out of the Senate but hopefully this public drubbing puts this nonsense to bed.
Here goes nothing: I’m a couple years into my consulting career after working in the MO General Assembly ~5 years. Among my clients in the House: Speaker, Majority Leader and Assistant Majority Leader. Speaker resigns a week before my wedding (wedding is of course in the House lounge. Majority leader wins Speaker vote so now an opening for my other client, Assistant Majority Leader, to run for Majority Leader and I agree to help him. Then, another friend, @calebrowden, decides to run for it too. The problem: Caleb was both a member of the House and an accomplished former musician. So, of course, we had him scheduled to sing at our wedding. So, in short, I had to call him the week of the wedding and give a heads up that I was, indeed, working for someone else and I hoped he still sing at our wedding. He’s a prince, so of course he did. But was among the most awkward calls in a week full of awkward calls.
Worst political wedding sleight since I had to call the singer at my wedding and let him know I was working against him for Majority Leader. Long story. True story. Still sorry, @calebrowden.
@studurando 2 studs from STL high schools, 2 bigs from the portal, 5 core players back from record breaking team and some freshman who they love. SLU will be loaded. The only problem will be distribution of playing time, a nice problem to have.

I still remember the access @UNIFootball gave kids when I was growing up in CF. Thought these guys hung the moon. Some memories I still cherish including meeting the QB who went on to get a few snaps at the next level. @kurt13warner
Almost forgot to post this from UNI's spring game.
At the end of the game, all the kids got to come down and try to tackle a Northern Iowa player on the kickoff.
One kid might make business decisions for a while. (He seemed to be just fine)
Charlie Munger: "If you watched [Warren Buffett] with a time clock, I would say half of all the time he spends is just sitting on his ass and reading."
"And a big chunk of the rest of the time is spent talking one-on-one with highly gifted people whom he trusts."
Best advice I got in my 20s: Nobody cares. When you’re winning, nobody cares. When you’re losing, nobody cares. Stop fearing the judgement of people who were never even thinking about you. Nobody is thinking about you. They’re too busy thinking about themselves. Go do the thing.
