@Atomsmade This is because most people are not doctors. If they were they would use their skills to heal the sick. Since these untrained people can’t perform medicine they are doing the only thing they can for the sick. Take them to a doctor and pray.

An atheist would need to present empirical proof that the one and only motivation for creating religion was to rob people of this one and only life.

Immorality adultery and prostitution. If God had been polygamous that would have also been called adultery sexual immorality and prostitution. That is why polygamy is a sin.

@pinkTheTinkerer @man_of_options 2. Polygamous gods are part of paganism and Mormonism. Polygamy is not an attribute or characteristic of Yahweh. He made 1 covenant with 1 nation which he called his wife. He was faithful and never broke it by pursuing “other lovers”

The second is a normative command for all who follow Christ to include their children in the faith.

If atheism is true then everyone’s world view is the result of brain chemistry and none of it is true. Brain chemistry is constantly changing. Atheists can’t even say what a true brain function would be. Congratulations you just invalidated your own argument.

The LAW OF FIRST THINGS FIRST:
If B requires A to be true, then A being false makes B false. If C, D, E, and F require B to be true, then B being false makes all of them false.
INARGUABLE FACT: If the OLD Testament is NOT TRUE, the NEW Testament and Christianity are FALSE.
WHY ON EARTH are we "Debating" the contents of the NEW Testament when the content of the OLD Testament are SO OBVIOUSLY AND DEMONSTRABLY FALSE?

@man_of_options Hypergamy is a descriptive claim not a natural rule. It only demonstrates human degenerative sexuality. Fallen sinful men want to sleep with as many women as possible. Fallen sinful women also want this but with rich powerful men.

It is just as natural as homosexuality.
