2) iPhone has an option to track even while off. (Introduced in iOS 15 for iP11 and newer, with exception of 2nd SE)

3) not all Android models require authentication to power off.

4) ≈95% of Android - Force restart keys into Recovery, select Power Off. 😏

However:

Majority are right-handed (including myself). Both on right makes it cumbersome for screenshots, as you have to put your hand over the screen to get 2 fingers on the right;

Makes it harder to feel ⬆️⬇️ in-pocket for EZ, in-pant 🎶 adjustments.😉
