@ntvkenya So unfortunate that 20yrs ago, there will be massive dropouts because new curriculum is so expensive and with this economy parents are not able to afford the education!
The short rains have began in some parts of the Country. Let us not watch it all become surface run off and end up in our lakes and the Ocean.
Our water storage capacity is about 107m3 per capita. In addition to our dams and other storage infrastructure, we can all contribute to water storage by embracing rain harvesting in our own small ways, such as roof harvesting. Farmers can do small water pans/ basins and ditches in their farms.
Nature based solutions to ground water/ aquifer recharge including the use of green spaces in cities as detention and retention basins will help recharge our aquifers and control flooding downstream.
The long term plan is to have adaquate water storage to solve our flooding challanges and use the water for irrigation. This will then boost our food security efforts.
@gpdkaluma Who is telling you that Adani is coming to reduce the cost of energy? Once the deal is sign is when you will realize that you people made a mistake. A big one!!!
@mugaa_eric I think we have countries which are advanced with high level of water transmission. A benchmark will do good and follow up in the implementation. Otherwise kudos for the good work @mugaa_eric
