I had a great birthday weekend. I had supper and cake with the fam. @ravennickerson made me a homemade chocolate and peanut butter cake that was delicious. Then we went to the Omaha Police Ball benefitting @sonebraska After the ball we had a lovely stay at the Cottonwood hotel.

My Grandma Grubbs (aka Grandma on the Farm, Grandma Regular, Grandma Boo) went home to be with Jesus early this Easter morning. She was the nicest person in the world. It seems fitting. She loved Easter, especially when we gathered together in her living room to sing hymns.

Last month Patty did the online portion of his hunter safety course. Today we drove to Columbus so he could do the in person Hunt Safe Session to complete his certification. He demonstrated Marksmanship, safe gun handling, zones of fire, and tree stand safety. He aced it! Proud.

J. Paxton made his first wild harvest this morning! Epic hunt. He made a great shot on a beautiful Tom and we doubled! I got hooked on hunting when my dad first took me spring turkey hunting. Sharing this hunt where Pax got his first bird was picture perfect. Way to go Patty.
