What happens when a company switches to a four-day workweek? @JoeOC99 and Jared Lindzon authors of “Do More in Four: Why It’s Time for a Shorter Workweek” join https://t.co/PjWTwI77T1 to lay out the data - and it’s very positive.
"By reducing the workweek to four days, organizations can foster the well-being and work-life balance that drives innovative thinking—and give workers a reason to embrace, rather than resist, new AI tools," write Jared Lindzon and Joe O’Connor https://t.co/OJz0EdrvnQ
The five-day workweek is a pillar of modern life, but it isn’t backed by science, ancient wisdom, or divine decree. It’s simply a relic of the industrial age—and it’s time for an upgrade. What if we could accomplish more while working fewer days?
Four-day-workweek pioneer Joe O’Connor and journalist Jared Lindzon offer a groundbreaking, data-driven exploration of why a four-day workweek isn’t merely possible—it’s necessary in the age of artificial intelligence.

Started a Substack because I’m looking for a space to build genuine community free from empty engagement games, for critical human-only thinking free from AI drivel, and for deep, applicable content free from the algorithmic sugar rush.
It's official. On January 13th, 2026, I'll be a published author with @HarvardBiz.
Do More In Four makes the case for why now is the right time for a shorter workweek, and charts the path for how to make it happen.
Do More In Four is both the definitive telling of the shorter workweek story so far, and a call to action for a future of better work and balanced lives that’s yet to be written.

This should be the top political issue in Ireland bar none.
Narrow tax base will be extremely vulnerable in a new world order where the US turns its back on globalization and free trade.
Ireland need to get to grips with the economic storm coming our way as a result of Trump's protectionist economic agenda.
Heavy tariffs coming today for Canada, Mexico and China, EU next stop. He has declared war on US multinational activity abroad. Ireland will be hardest hit.

If FF are not prepared to consider this, we should not be prepared to support the return of the FG/FF combination. We saw how the Greens were hung out to dry by their 'partners'.
Instead, we should continue the path of building an alternative that can compete to lead government.
For what it's worth, my view is that the @SocDems should only entertain entering a government that is substantially different to the last one.
We could play an influential role as a progressive 3rd party in a balanced government with the populist left (SF) and centre-right (FF)
In a result that could have gone in a whole other direction, I'm also so glad to see @marie_sherlock make it across the line for @labour.
She is one of the most intelligent, caring and committed trade unionists in the country and will make a real impact as a TD.
I've been friends with @Eoin_Hayes and @PadraigRice since our student union days, and it's amazing and somewhat surreal to see them elected to the Dáil.
They are going to do @UCC, the @SocDems and the country proud.
I also want to pay tribute to our founders @CathMurphyTD and @RoisinShortall.
We didn't always agree on everything, but I have so much respect for their integrity, what they've achieved over their careers, and the legacy they are leaving behind in the form of our growing party.
