After 11 years with us Scotch passed in his sleep. We had a wonderful time with him; he loved every dog and person he ever met. Lola is OK for now, but I think soon it’ll be time to visit the county shelter again and see what dog might fit in. We sort of hoped that one day a dog would pass quietly in their sleep but found out it wasn’t any easier. RIP good boy.
We figured it out and for both of us parity didn’t happen until we were 79. And that’s not foguted the effects of inflation or using the income to earn. Waiting is a bad idea for most people unless they plan on working well past 65 and using social security as their primary retirement income.
