@alicetimes. It's worse than your column makes out down in the SW. The rail system west of Bristol is dreadful, packed and fragile. The poorly paid young move away as second home owners pocket properties and tax incentives. The NHS service is awful.

Rarely watch anything on l BBC now: their idea of 'talent' is either v bland (Linaker) or hectoring and opinionated- any current events show.
