And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Applying this biblical principle...we cant help people unless the message is sent.

@sola_chad If someone puts their faith in Jesus for forgiveness of their sins, then they are saved & u could say they were always one of Gods elect, but if he decides not to put his faith in Jesus, then u could say they were not Gods elect. Harmony of sovereignty & free will is biblical.

@ScratchMoore @ooley_scott @sola_chad The better evidence is when every single disciple and the apostle paul saw the resurrected Jesus they were all willing to die as martyrs rather than recant their claim that Jesus is alive. Hard to fake that. Hard to make any other conclusion than that they truly saw him alive.

Then the evidence of our born again standing with God is the sanctifying work of the Holy Spirit within us, this work is not of our own but of Jesus Lording over our lives. If no good fruit then one must question if truly saved.

@sola_chad The key doctrine of justification by faith + works is where Catholicism differs from biblical Christianity and finds the opening/need for a place holder like purgatory- but it’s simply no where in the Bible. Man made.

@trad_west_ Nothing about this is based on scripture, just man made dogma. We are justified by grace through faith in the FINISHED work of Christ. Jesus is the only way to heaven. The idea of purgatory is such a works based tradition, no amount of works will ever be good enough for heaven
