Today was “Lilo & Stitch” day for homecoming week. It was exciting to see the kids dressed up in their best Hawaiian shirts. I carried around my Ukulele and sang to the kids in the halls who were late to class. #Homecoming#DeanofStudents
My DIY goof was included in this months issue of @Family_Handyman magazine! I’ve loved this magazine for such a long time and now I finally get to be a part of it!
Had a great first day with students in the building! So greatful to be the Dean of Students here and have the opportunity to help our students grow! #FirstDay#MrRooney#SaveFarris
@BriggsStratton fire breathing engine! Time to do some small engine work! Any student who has the space in their schedule to take a small engines class should absolutely do so!
95 degree heat, a light breeze, @EstesRockets up to 1,800ft, and a slow-motion camera make for an awesome way to wrap up the years last activity. Students loved it!
Students learned about energy sources and how a power grid works in our Tech Concepts class this week. Thank you @CeMaST_ISU for the #SmartGridforSchools kit, they loved it!
We were thrilled to host dozens of P-12 practitioners from the field at EAF's first Leadership Forum event. These current and prospective students are aspiring to build their abilities to serve communities across Illinois.

@ms_dunfee@PennPride365 I know I’m late to the game here but this year we had a day like this…one of my students brought a microwave. When I asked why, he plugged it in and started warming up his lunch in class…I ran and got mine and said “me next!”Funniest day ever!
You treat them right, teach them gear ratios, programming, mechanical advantage…then you make a fun project where they get to shoot a ping pong ball at you and this is how they repay you… #thisisgoingtohurt
@GBN_Eng_Tech@porterpltw1@MrMostynSTEM @Lhs210Woodshop A couple of years ago our advanced woods class was doing some spicy work…ended with a fire in the paint booth, small flood, school evacuation and a funny story
Teachers! This one is for you, for always finding the strength to give young people hope, even in the most difficult circumstances. Thank you.

Prélude, Suite No. 1 for Solo Cello by J.S. Bach, #songsofcomfort
Teaching @PLTWorg#POE is so much fun! Giving the students the skills to be successful, getting out of the way, and observing their creativity is by far the most rewarding part of the job. Hands on projects is where the real learning happens!
