@MartinSLewis@bphillipsonMP Baby is due early July, as we both work full time, we're very happy to get hours from 9 months. Although if baby is born in July, funded hours aren't available until 14 months later in September. This means we'd have to find money for 5 months or leave work. Hoping he's early!
@PJiggles_@Jerfaberfaderf What's wrong with Super Mario Party compared to the others? Didn't buy any of the more recent ones as I already had that one. Played again recently and was great fun
@tomhfh Maybe we need to try and force jobs to be more evenly spread across the country rather than all the demand centring in London. This seems like a way to do that to me.
I found that this is another reason why people seek remote work.
Working in the office comes with all these expectations of social activities that drag you away from your actual loved ones.
Employers aim to create your social life at the office, so you won't leave so easily.
@mikesmith187@dario_raijman I was going to say Santander, but seeing the logo I don't think it's close. I think it's the Santander F1 trophies that made the connection in my head
@JonBruner This is really cool! I got laughed at a bit a few years ago when I was tasked to talk about a plastic bottle design at an interview for a similar company. I said the cap should aim to be one material, and that no one unzips the plastic label. Great to see stuff like this.
@MartinSLewis Still not sure that people buying half a million pound houses need to be subsidised by taxpayers. That's mortgage repayments of at least £2200 with a salary of £110,000 needed. All for canning the penalty though
@sockjig Yep, the products in the pipeline this year will suffer because of this. Good product requires confidence and everyone will be worrying they'll be out of a job.
