@JohnnyVenerable No thank you. The kid is nothing but traits and a dream. It's why he had to transfer and put more tape down with a better team. He HAD to show more then just traits this year, now he can't. Not to mention the baggage. 5th rounder tops, just purely as a lottery ticket.
@BoBrack@PHNX_Cardinals Every team in the league does it and they do it every year. Most teams say it's because it's a reward for high attendance for voluntary OTAs. This should not be a surprise as it has been this way for a long time now for the whole NFL.
@JohnnyVenerable He wouldn't be here regardless. He and especially his agent are smart people. Signing Minchew and drafting a 3rd rounder makes him the defacto starter whether it is said outloud or not.
@BoBrack@Schultz_Report Not a comparable example in my opinion. Reddick was on last year of his deal looking for big money. Sweat has 3 more years left on a relatively small contract for pass rushers.
@JohnnyVenerable Then he should not of signed a 4 year deal. If your sole reason to play somewhere is the coach then just sign a series of 1 year deals. Besides he had a 8 mill bonus due on March 21st, he took that money, if he really wanted out March 21st was the deadline.
@JohnnyVenerable What scenerio is it? Are they receiving trade calls or they actively pursuing trade calls. One scenerio means nothing and is a non-story, teams recieve trade calls all the time. The other scenerio would actually be a story.
@Gambo987 It is voluntary. And he skipped most of them last year as well. Tell us if and when he does or doesn't show up for June 8th mandatory mini camp.
@JohnnyVenerable No guarantee we get #1 pick, Archie might do same as uncles and stay in school for senior year, pull an Eli & refuse to play for us, Jets 3 1st rounders & can easily jump us, you know other QB prospects will loss luster like they do every year and drop like rocks. Yeah lets tank.
@BoBrack This was supposed to be his year he showed more then just 1st read and bail. More cerebral play. A year to improve his below average completion percentage. Without being able to show that improvement at Texas Tech, what draft pick you willing to give up?
@JohnnyVenerable Remember when all the experts and Vegas odds said we would have the #1 and #2 picks in the 2024 draft, our pick and Houstons pick. Great job experts. Immediate draft grades also have habit of looking really dumb 3-4 years later from now.
