What is your favourite - not necessarily the best - 3 film run of consecutive films by any Director? I think mine is John McTiernan with Predator, Die Hard and the Hunt for Red October. I love all 3 of those films.

Roger Milla was a retired footballer.
Had it not been for a personal appeal from Cameroon’s president, he would never have been at Italia 90..

Liverpool want to be an aggressive, front-foot team led by someone who is all in, whose identity is intensity, who will immerse himself in the club through to the academy, and whose hard-working character will endear him to the city. That’s Andoni Iraola.
Yes, there are risks. There usually always are bar very rare circumstances. Jürgen Klopp thought he was a risk because he had never worked outside of Germany.
Looking at win percentages as a mark of appointing a new head coach/manager is nonsense. Klopp would have never been approached by Bayern Munich or joined Borussia Dortmund in that case.
Luis Enrique would have never gone from Celta to Barcelona.
It’s about what they’ve achieved relative to means, scaling that, plus their stylistic fit to the club and its ambitions.
He was our first superstar. We had him at a Red All Over The Land event about 3-years ago, an absolute gent, funny and had time for everyone. He wants to go back to St James Park to say the goodbye he didn't do when he left for the 2nd time. Should get him back to Anfield as well
@Carl_M79 Not all of us care just about playing fast paced football, many of us just want the best manager possible with a coherent plan that is progressing.
Saw someone at the club briefed defending last summers transfers by saying they signed good players. Few have doubted that, the questions have always been were they the right fit for what the squad/coach needed. This summer's signings need to be tailored to what the coach needs.
@PhilBlundell Who would you say is available and at our level? I think there is nobody in that bracket (other than Conte who I don't think they would work with) currently - imo that is why Bayern went with Kompany and City with Maresca. Iraola made Bournemouth more than the sum of heir parts.
Would Iraola be a gamble?Undoubtedly - he hasn't shown he can cope with 3 games a week, consistently facing low blocks etc. However unless Enrique is bored of winning - they are all gambles. Bayern appointed Kompany & City Maresca because there are no sure things ready & available
Arne Slot deserves immense gratitude for delivering a Premier League title, and even more so, for the care and grace he showed while guiding the club through the grief of losing Diogo Jota.
But Liverpool have made the right decision to let him go. Conditions have changed, what they need now is not the same as when he was appointed, and there wasn’t evidence that he could fix the problems nor handle the next phase.
Liverpool’s squad planning under this current leadership is scandalous. We seem intent on leaving ourselves without any depth whatsoever & then seem confused when injuries hit & results suffer. Grim.
