Just in @marksandspencer in Cribbs and my lad took a tumble outside. We dusted ourselves down and were midshop when a manager came over and asked if it was okay to give him a Colin the Caterpillar cake to cheer him up! Such a genuinely lovely gesture. Thank you!
@marksandspencer@dianamahon@0Calamity Thanks, he’s doing great. It was top drawer customer service but more importantly it was a random act of kindness that makes the world a better place to be. Your manager is an absolute credit to you
@FacileTalk@marksandspencer 🤣 fair play! Sounds like lovely people are everywhere? Tell him not to mix the two. Historically the lawn mower is no friend of the caterpillar
@tommears1981@marksandspencer 🤣🤣🤣 Great reference! That tickled me! he’s all good thanks mate. Just thought it was a smashing gesture from the bloke. In an often cynical world it’s nice to see people being kind just for the sake of it and putting a bit of good out there
It’s #WorldTourismDay today. Mark Twain famously said “Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime.” In the UK it is also soft power and hard cash; it creates job at all skills levels faster than any other sector; and is one the most important sectors in every @UKParliament constituency. Tourism and culture don’t just grow job and economies, they grow people.
Had a brilliant night watching @andyfordlive in Kingswood and having a proper laugh with my Mum! Get a ticket whilst you still can https://t.co/SyRYGvhDAl
